Movie exhibitors welcome Foo Fighters to their screens, live and in 3-D Posted: Theater owners selling few tickets to films on weeknights are turning to special events such as Tuesday's documentary and concert double bill. Stop by your local multiplex on a weekday night and you'll pretty much have a private screening for the movie of your choice. Theater owners have been trying to combat this mid-week ghost-town effect in recent years with alternative programming concepts like screening major sports events and operas. |

Hiroshi Miura and a dozen other taxi drivers dressed in crisp blue shirts were shooting the breeze in front of the quiet Tokyo Bay Hotel at dusk Saturday. They had one thing on their minds: "X Day." |
