Musical acts' summer tours encounter heavy weather Posted: 16 Jul 2010 12:00 AM PDT With CD sales diving, top artists are seeking to recoup lost revenue with tours, creating a glut at a time of economic contraction. 'Crude' director must hand over some outtakes to Chevron, appeals court rules Posted: 16 Jul 2010 12:00 AM PDT Three-judge panel, in a closely watched 1st Amendment case, says Joe Berlinger must turn over only certain outtakes from his film about environmental litigation in Ecuador, not all 600 hours of unused footage. A federal appeals panel has ruled quickly that though Joe Berlinger does not have to surrender all 600 hours of outtakes from his film "Crude" to Chevron Corp., the documentary filmmaker must immediately hand over several categories of unused film footage. |
