USC's Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg Center for Animation takes it to a new degree Posted: 'This isn't philanthropy. This is an investment in our own business,' says DreamWorks' Jeffrey Katzenberg of USC's Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg Center for Animation, which is being dedicated Wednesday. USC is the first major research university to offer a bachelor of arts degree in animation. Jeffrey Katzenberg was visiting USC recently when a faculty member stopped to chat with him. As the two parted ways, the DreamWorks Animation chief urged him: "Just keep sending me magicians." |
